Sunday Thoughts

Going through the motions
Walking across oceans
But sinking deep inside

-E.G.E.

Message was on Matthew 12:22-32
Almost immeadietly, this statement came to mind and it was something I kept thinking on the entire service. Everything seemed to tie together.
I ususally let my Sunday Thoughts speak for themeselves. Sorry. : )

difference

I had a wonderful, beautiful, memorable, and very much and enjoyable Lord's Day today.
We sang two of my favorite hymns. I have many incase you didn't know. "I Must Tell Jesus" and "Satisfied".
'Satisfied' became my favorite on our missions trip last march. A few of us sang specials a lot during the services, and Jesse picked 'Satisfied' as one of the options, and now when I'm very happy and sing, that is usually the first song that pops to my head. Either that or 'I Must Tell Jesus'.
The memorial service for Leah Evans was this afternoon as well. Leah Evans was a dear, elderly lady in our church, who had the presence of God very powerful on her, and you just always knew she would be there for you. The service was great. Some of her family testified, praising Jesus for her and her prayers for them, saying that without her prayers, they would not be here. I couldn't help but cry.
Dad's message was fantasic, entitled; 'The Power of the Ressurection'.
I got reunited with a dear friend, Megan Jones. I was born in Maine, and for those years, I was inseperable from Angie, but when we moved to New York, I was inseperable from Megan. : ) We had a great time today, chatting and catching up. Trying to convince her to come to BJ with me. She actually might come next summer and room with me at my house, as she is thinking of working as Mom's assistant Chef at the Landmark Inn.
I hope you do Megan!
Anyways, Mrs. Stephen thankfully came home from vacation last night and played the prelude and postlude for the service. I was going to do it, but I hate playing the organ. Well, I guess its not necessarily the organ, because it is a beautiful instrument, its just the type of songs the family wants you to play for a funeral. So depressing. But actually, Mrs. Stephen did a very nice job, and the hymns chosen were not so depressing. They were very joyful. Thats what made the service nice. It's a bit hard playing a hymn on the piano for 200 people, compared to 20. With 200, you must play with a confidence and lead the singing almost. Of course you follow the songleader, but still, its just different.
I'm struggling a lot with many different things right now. Not necessarily bad things, just things I'm thinking a lot about lately. Pondering.
I want to change. I want to be the first person to testify of God's goodness, mercy, and grace. Vaste things that they are. I want those things showered on me in abundance, and I want to be constantly on my knees pleading for them. I want to wrestle with God through prayer, and not let go till I see His face. I want to spend hours feasting on His precious and holy words. And I don't want to leave His presence. I want Him with me all the time, so that He consumes my thoughts and takes over my actions. I want His words on my lips and stamped in my heart. I want to remain pure and blameless in the sight of God through the blood of Jesus. I want all these things and so much more. And I want them now.
But do I want them bad enough? Am I willing to give up EVERYTHING. I mean everything. Everything and anything. Anything it takes. If you really think about that, you should start to feel guilty. This, and so much more, is what I am struggling with right now, at this very moment. And yet, though I'm wadeing through all this, I feel so full. So very and utterly and completely full of all these things. How could I dare ask for more? Hah, I geuss thats the feeling you get when something happens. We change so much. I've been thinking about that too, I mean, this past summer, I think I changed drastically ever day. When I got back from work, I wasn't the same person as when I had left. And I didn't miss that person either. It was and is a good change.

I think that is all I have to say for now. Or at least, all that I feel like saying. : ) I think you all know me well enough to know that I could go on for hours and hours. But I simply choose to stop. Ok. Good Night!

Song Of The Day: "Awake My Soul" - sung by either Caedmon's Call/Derek Webb, I believe the words are written by Sandra McCracken, And she might sing it too, I'm not sure. Check it out either way, and if you have it already, just listen to it again. Unless you're listeing to it right now.

"I know how the fingers of late October..."

I am in the process of reading several books, but have decided to pick up one more. "The Best Short Stories of O. Henry". I have read several of his in the past but I do enjoy his style, so I think it will make good night reading. I have been recommended a few other books and I feel an order from B&N coming on soon. Or maybe a christmas present from the parents.
I had a rather intersting day. I left for work with Mom and Nate at 6, and made 30 peices of bacon. Ed mad baked french toast with a carmael sauce on the bottom and apples. MMM. Well, thats the puzzeling part, usually I am the first to dig into the bacon, the french toast, and the muffins. But lately, I have had a great distaste for most foods! It makes me so sad, because I love food. But for instance. Today, I had a banana for breakfast, a banana for lunch, and an english muffin with rasberry preserves on it, for dinner. That is absolutely ridiculous. There is no excuse for that behavior, but I was stuffed! Thats the part I don't understand. And the other morning, I slept in until 11, and then I didn't really eat anything until 3, and then I didn't eat again after that. Mom and Dad brought home pizza that night, but I took a bite and it was just blah... I am greatly distressed.
I hope I am not going through the stage Ruth is going through. No offence my dearest poofy, but you have gotten rather sickly. : )
Tomorrow is the memorial service, and there is going to be a big dinner after. So maybe I will not eat very much in the morning, and hopefully I will build up my appetite, and then stuff my face.

OH! My interesting day! Well, here goes! I got hired as the photographer for my first wedding! It took place at the href="http://www.landmarkinncooperstown.com">Landmark Inn.
They were the cutest couple, he is a journalist for the Boston Globe, and had a honkin' Nikkon camera, because all the company lenses are Nikkon, but he prefers Canons. He loved my camera. But I used his camera for all the shots. It was the most interesting thing I've ever done in my life. I think. So far. They got married in front of the parlor fireplace. My mom is the head chef there. (random fact).
It was a very sad wedding in the fact that God was not mentioned once. The service was done by a Unitarian Minister, so what else can you expect. I wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying, because I was engrossed with taking pictures. I took a couple outside too. It was a beautiful day, and the sky was a gorgeous shade of blue that I haven't seen very often. So he had 70 pictures left on his memory card, which holds 400 pictures, and I used them all up, so I pulled out my little guy, and clicked some more. They got all dressed up, he was wearing a three peice suit, she had a black dress with a long white veil. It was really nice. I love my moms veil. Its really cute. It's short (mid back) and poofy, and its attached to one of those comb things. It would go really nice under a hair-do, or If you wear your hair down too.
I am really tired and I am going to go to bed now.

Good Night, and have a good day tomorrow. : )

family

Me and Micah! Good times bro...

Check out Micahs post, 'It's a Girl!'

Congratulations Micah and Vanessa! We can't wait! I think you should name it 'Estrella' pronounce 'Estraya'. It's spanish for Esther. And it technically means, "A star". So applicable. : )

consideration

Well I have quite a bit on my mind so this will be a rather long post. I have that feeling in my bones.
I have been keeping busy. I am continuing to work on my room. I have some before pictures. Hopefully by tomorrow I will have after pictures.
Teusday was class. I drove in the snow. Pretty cool. It wasn't too bad. Oh, well, I was late for devo's. So I went towards the door and Eric Deemer was just leaning up against the wall doing nothing, so I asked him if he was going in, and he's like "no." I convinced him to go in with me, because its so annoying to go in by yourself, if you're late, beause the room is a perfect square, and all the chairs are in a circle, and everyone will just stare at you. So we decided to be as quiet as possible. So I swung open the door and shoved him in a little, and he tripped over a chair and went flying. Lol it was great, so I slammed the door shut. Everyone was staring at us, and Mrs. Johnston didn't really look too happy. Well, the previous week, in Art Class, she teaches that one, she had been reprimanding everyone, cause a bunch of the kids were acting up. So it was dead quiet. Then my cell phone went off. It was super embarassing.
So today I worked. I left at 6:45, and got back at 1:00. I only worked a half day today. I usally work till 4 or 5. But I came home and made a lame attempt at room.
I'm really sorry I have nothing more interesting to say. There's a lot more on my mind than just this stuff, but I don't feel like typing it all out. I'm tired. Got three hours of sleep last night. For SOME odd reason. *ahem*.
ANYways, see you.

Song of the day: "The Sunken Cathedral" -Debussy

We lost our power Tuesday night, I woke up freezing Wednesday morning, it had snowed. So I went to piano lessons anyways. That was good. I found out that my teachers wife, Joanna, did a Phillip Glass concert at Carnegie Hall. It was an 11 p.m. concert that was packed out. Piano was very good, I'm going to work on one scale a week. This weeks is simple, B major and minor. We're working on the Pathetique Sonata by Beethoven. Other than concert stuff, thats the biggest thing right now. I'm actually doing the second movement for the concert. Thats the most popular movement from that sonata. I'm going to be doing the third movement for Talents For Christ this year. And then I'll be doing the entire sonata for college auditions! After we get underway with this sonata, he really wants to do Fantasie Impromtu by Chopin. I love that song. I want to do it too. But anyways, we spent the majority of the hour lesson working on the trills from the second movement. There are several that are not very noticeable, but its the details that will pull everything together and make it sound smooth and even.
So after lessons, I headed over to the barn, and Jackie was out of power too. So at first she couldn't think of anything for me to do, but then I help take down the old fencing, and pile it up for the tractor. Then after lunch, she said I could ride ForgetMeNot. So I went to go get her and she was chilled really bad. She was shaking and stuff, and once we got some blankets on her and took her temp, we found out she had a fever. So then after that I was walking her to warm her up, and she started trying to lay down. But after a lot more walking and stuff, she felt better and started eating. So I rode Flagship instead. He was really good as usual. We had some good discussions at the canter. He was being really stupid at first, so I touched him with my whip, just barely touched him and he bucked. lol. It's like "yehaw!"
I did a ton of sitting trot with him, and figure eights and circles, and I'm not that sore surprisingly. His trot is SO hard to sit. I really don't know how Joce does it. Maybe 10 years of practicing on him helps. Hah. She's a great rider.
Anyways, after that, I left and came home. And we had power. So that was nice.

the maine thing.

Well, We got back from Maine today. It was super fun, great to see Mic and Van's house and wreck it all up. : ) I took lots of pictures so, once those come back I will post them. I think I have a few on the digital though, that Mom and Dad took.
We had an awesome time with Gramps, we spent a couple days with him. The first day he just took us all around Maine as usual, we went to this guys house, a friend of my grandpa's, It was SO funny! He was this older guy, and he played the harmonica, the accordian, the spoons, and this saw. Lol, it was great. I made some video clips on the digital, but I'm not sure how to post them. I'll find out. They're really not as funny unless you know my Grandpa. He told this ghost story about the little drummer boy of Castine. OH GOODNESS! LOL it was halarious! You had to be there though. Micah was jealous that he wasn't with us that day. The next day we spent with Grandpa we chilled at the house, but Grandpa had all these chores he wanted Micah to do, such as climbing this tree to cut off some branches, and then dig a grave for his dog that isn't dead yet.
We played rook that night, and Granpda repeatedly reprimanded me for cheating, and I SO wasn't! I was protecting the outcome of the game! Techincally, Micah was the one cheating. Mom, Vanessa, and I were on a team, and Grandpa, Micah, and Dad were a team. So us girls would get a hand with tons of points in it, and then Micah would lay this stupid trump card on it and take the hand, BUT, Esther saved the day by glancing at his hand and seeing that he really had more cards and was using a trump card illegally. SO I would tell him so. And then he would look at his hand and be like, "dag-nab-it!" And fix it. He did this several times. Too many to count.
And got all mad at me for looking at his hand when he had it LAYING out so you could see everything anyways! So then I tried to correct Micah a little less obvious, and one a hand where green was called, and we had it, he laid a little red trump card, and I saw that he still had green, I just went: "Ahem." I thought I did it SO smooth, so Micah grabbed the red card back and threw down a green one, and Grandpa saw it and started laughing. It was fun, haha!

THE GUNS OF BEAVER LODGE!
ppppppppppppppoOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

*If I'm right, only Micah will laugh for the above statement. And maybe Van.*

We watched Batman Begins. It was super good. We all liked it. I was playing the piano after and everyone's like, "Esther, play the batman soundtrack!" They all think that since I can do Castaway music I can do EVERYTHING. The only reason I can play Castaway is because its mostly piano. So I made an attempt at Batman.
As Micah's hovering over me and yelling; "MORE BASS, MORE BASS!"
*shrugs shoulders*

It was a fun trip. Though my earbuds went on burt. So I bought cheap ones.

I was going to make eggs benedict Sunday morning, and I had the water boiling and everything. I was about to drop a little egg in when poof. The power was gone. Sp I made them the next morning. For those of you who don't know, Eggs benedict is a toasted english muffin, with a slice of ham or tomato, (your preference) a poached egg, holandaise sauce with a touch of lemon, and fresh parsley sprinkled on the top.
Its good.
I don't even like egss.

So I made it the next day. And everyone loved it.

Micah took me in the woods to show me this river by their house, and a lovely waterfall, and he fell in.
Got really wet. It was funny. He took off running through the woods, dripping, and left me there by myself. So I just took pictures and sauntered back.

I must leave now.

mumble jumble

Ok, I'm doing my post tonight, because I so will not have time tomorrow night. Well, I really don't have time tonight, but I don't feel like making the phone calls I'm supposed to, or packing, or practicing. So here I am!
While I'm gone, you must pick out of a selection of songs that I leave and buy or listen to one of them. Or the entire cd for that matter.
And you must watch one of the movies that I recommend. The ones you've already seen or heard don't count. You have to pick another one.
Movies:
The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer/ favorite line: "I couldn't help over-hearing, I had my ear at the door."
Lawrence of Arabia/ fav. line: "Do you think I'm just anybody Ali? Do you?"
The Village/ fav. line: "The world moves for love. It kneels before it in awe."
The Importance of being Earnest. (old version or new) fav line: too many. lol
Support your local sheriff/ favorite line: "Here's the badge." *looks at bullet indention* "Why, this must of saved somebodys life!" "Well, it woulda 'cept for all them other bullets flyin in from everywheres!"
Physco/ fav. line: ummm, i don't know.
The Alamo/ fav. line: "...that is what we'll call Texas."

Music:
"Colors" - Amos Lee *best time to listen* When walking on a sidewalk in the fall, kicking leaves. or "Keep it Loose, Keep it tight"
For the classical fan: The only recording of Rachmaninovs Piano Concerto #2 that is worthwile listening to, is Slatistov Riechter's. Buy it or else. I really don't know where you can get it though. But seriously, its the only one worthwhile. Beautiful Pianist.
"Thankful" - Caedmons Call
"Take My Hand" - Ben Harper and the Blind Boys of Alabama - (sidewalk music as well)
"Somewhere only We know" - Keane
"But not for Me" -Oscar Peterson. Best Jazz pianist. period.
"Jingle Bells" - Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters or "Santa Claus is coming to town.
"Cathedrals" -Jump Little Children
"The Gravel Road" - The Village (soundtrack)
"Hummingbird" - B.B. King and John Mayer

still my favorite.

I know I posted this hymn back in January, but it's still my favorite, and I still love these words. Please read, again. : )

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent word!
What more can He say than to you He has said
To you, who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

"Fear not, I am with thee, Oh be not dismayed,
For I am thy God I will still give thee aid;
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by my gracious omnipotent hand."

"When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
For I will be with thee thy troubles to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress."

"When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie,
My grace, all sufficient, shall be they supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee I only design
Thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine."

"The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to his foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I'll never, no never, no never forsake!"

I'll be going to Maine on Wednesday till Monday, so I will write a REALLY long post in honor of it. I'm so sorry about the last few. They've been horribly long. I've been taking lots of pictures, just don't have enough yet to motivate me to take them to get developed. I've only got about 15 rolls in my bag. I'm going to buy some more film before I go to Maine. We'll have bunches of fun down there.
Nate's sermon tonight was really really good. About Nehemiah, and about the true meaning of worship. And how in the bible, people were falling on their faces and praising God. He said to forget about the charasmatic movement, they work themeselves up and don't have God's spirit, and that people will be able to tell the difference of a spirit-filled worship. Something I've known, just needed to hear again. I mean, there are times were I really do feel liberty, and comfortable with my liberty. God commands to give him praise, and raise our hands and shout AMEN! But I am hindered by what others will say and think. When others are feeling the same apprehension! I tend to feel more liberty through prayer on Wednesdays, then I do in really worshiping God. But I want to get to that point. That I'm so focused on God. That we're all so focused on His glory, that we're overwhelmed by it and have to raise our hands and fall flat on the ground. Moses was. Anyways, Good night!

Sunday Thoughts

It's been awhile. Here's a few from the past few weeks.

10.2.

With wondering eyes I look
A wandering mind
As I seek to find
Some truth in a world of lies
A love that will be despised
Even by me
A love to strong to comprehend
Broken hearts so easily mend
A mixed up mess
Can mean no less
When I confess
And love comes down
Love kneels down
Love falls down
Can it be one-sided
When I've decided
Not to return this love
Can it be found
A memory of love.

10.9.

Pretty soon - if this is all-
Pretty soon the world will fall
And then the rolling ball
Will stop
And crush your hopes and dreams
For this world
The banner unfurled
No more apathy
No more complacency
Your mind spelled out in graffiti on a mall
By a hand who writes on the wall of your soul.

10.16

Broken to build
Emtpy to fill
Hated to love
Blameless as a dove
Promised a land
A Boldness in my heart
That will not fall apart.

BADGERING

I would like to dedicate this post to Mrs. T, her dazed, confused, and badgerd son, Quinn, a.k.a. "Loser", and perhaps the one who does the badgering, Mr. T.

Well it all started a couple nights ago. I wanted to call Britt to figure out a time to get together to practice for the concert. So Quinn answers. And he sounded...almost....like he was on something? I hate to say it, but yes. It made me uneasy. I started doubting the sweet family I thought I knew so well. But Anyways, I did hear a suspicous talking in the backround. This will come into play later. So pretty much, Quinn was acting really weird and sounded really out of it. So later that evening, while chatting with Mrs. T, I explained her sons strange behavior. She listened with an intentness I did not know was possible. Then said the statement that made my evening. "That's probablly because His Father thought it was Quinn's sister, and was badgering him to hand over the phone."
I cannot remember laughing so hard in all my life. One picture stood out in my mind. Quinn standing there with a dazed, far off look in his eyes, and his father in the backround, clawing at him and snarling. So throughout the eveing, I randomly brought up the word, badger. Or badgering. Such as Brian Jaques books, with the badgers, you know, fighting and all. So anyways, yeah. That was it.
Really funny. Geuss you had to be there.

words words words : )

I just made an order on cotton factory. : ) Got my promotional discount. SWEETNESS! Can't wait for everything to get here. I ordered Er's present. I don't mind saying so because she still won't know EXACTLY what I got her. So I went to the barn today, and Jackie's like, "Do you feel adventursome today?" So of course, I said; "Yes!" So she said I could ride ForgetMeNot! It was really really cool, and I really enjoyed it. ForgetMeNot is a mare that Jackie bought, (she was abused), saving her from the killers, and a mare that Jackie's parents used to own, and she used to show her at Oklahoma, the World Champion Morgan Horse Show. So Anyways, It's been awhile since she's been worked, and since she's been ridden, so I brought her up to the big barn, and that was cool, she loved it, she was looking all around and she talked with lulu and lady k on the way up, they were in the pasture by the road, and as soon as she walked in the barn all the horses were neighing and greeting her, and she just stopped right in the middle of the aisle, and looked all around, it was so cute. So I got her all ready and saddled her and as soon as she walked in the indoor she was sort of nervous, like, Jackie was holding her, and I was about to get on her, and she like, took off, and I got on her and she started trotting and being all nervous, so I just let the reins really long and just leaned down and really was petting her and I kept talking to her, telling her she was ok, and she started to calm down and chill out and just walk along, so I started trying to get some collection, and at first at the walk she just had to work at it a bit, playing with the bit and the connection, but after a little while she really responded and was very nice, walking along and not being heavy in the hand or anything. So then we tried a trot and she did well, but we really didn't get any collection, but she was thinking about it! Haha, a few times she brought her head down and really responded but it will definetly come, she's a great horse and very sweet. I can't wait to ride her again. Hopefully Tuesday, after school.
So I got my hair cut, and that was cool, just a trim, since I'm growing it out, and Kelly is going to style it for the concert too. So I made an appt. I'm getting super nervous!! It'll be really cool, but I'm still nervous. I met with the guys from the Otesega yesterday, that was nervewraking. They're so upper-class! The guy who is setting up the room has an English accent and was all in his suit, (his regular working attire) and then here I am in my apron and work polo and looking soooo crappy. I had these great plans that I would meet him and be all dressed up, but he called me at work and wanted to get together right then, so I'm like, ummmmm OK! Anyways. That's alright. We work with it. : )
So I spent almost the entire afternoon wed. practicing the piano so that was cool. I had lessons in the morning at 8:30 and I was soooo super late for them, because I had to go to the bank, and the lady was just SO slow, I mean, she was talking with the lady in front of me for like, and hour, and I'm like COME ON!!!! So finally it's my turn and she's like "HI! how are you doing today with this rainy weather?" (really really slow!) And then she's staring at my stupid bank book for like, and hour and then finally tells me that its not updated and she'll need to keep it for 1/2 an hour so i said "FINE! YOU CAN HAVE THE STUPID BOOK FOR ALL I CARE!" So then she very tediously wrote out a humongous reciept for the thing as I stood there tapping my fingers, and then explained in great detail how I was to bring the receipt in and show it to her or someone else and then I could get my book back. So then I left and forgot about the book. Completely. And had Dad pick it up the next day. Without any delay I'm sure. Anyways, I gotta go. See ya!

Thursday

In regards to the previous posts, (specifically, the one of an idea for the opening page on my blog) I would like to clarify. In my head, I'd like somehow to incorporate those ideas, with my backround already on my blog, and some music as well. I would like the world to be spinning slowly around, and the head nodding from side to side, and everything to be very fun, but not over the top so it gets annoying. I also want some music to be playing while you open the page. Preferably, something Amos Lee, or Chris Rice (nonny, nonny). I want it to be easy to change the music. On my part, so I can update it whenever I like. I wouldn't mind making it a whole page, and then if you want to go to the blog, you have to click on the little world, spinning around, or if you want to contact me, you click on the face nodding. Something like that. I'm really just throwing ideas out. I have no idea where to start, but I'm going to call mic in a sec and talk to him. Oh, and Micah and Nessie gave me an itunes gift certificate for my b-day, (thanks :>) And I would appreciate any suggestions. I just got AP's new cd in the mail today, a b-day present from Nate, (there really is an advantage in having lots of brothers and sisters..) And I can't wait to listen to it. I just imported it and downloaded it to burt, so I'm very excited. Alright, gotta jet, ttyl!

i'm thinking that i'd like to make a banner for my blog. any ideas would be appreciated, besides the fact that i have absolutely NO idea how to do a banner. for my blog. if i did go with a handmade homey look, i'd want real things in it, like ducktape, yarn, pictures, stuff like that. i want it to be fun, and to describe me and my blog. so we'll see how it all comes together Posted by Picasa

Micah had a trading card of Magic Johnson on his wall, it's one of those things that was really part of a room, and on a rainy day you would draw it. Incase you can't see, the basketball is have a basketball and turning into a coin, hey, this was like, really high-tech for me, this was around the time of the bodiless horse. see below.  Posted by Picasa

drawing horses in ' 98. hmmm. i always look back on this drawing and wonder why its just a head floating in a field. i really don't know what i was thinking, or maybe i was thinking, and knew that it would be a lot less scarier if i left out the body.  Posted by Picasa

drawing/ copying horses in 2003. I think this was experiementing with the geometric shapes that my teacher was insistant on. I didn't like them at all, it didn't make me feel like it was my drawing. because you erase all the circles and squares and stuff.  Posted by Picasa

a sport horse drawing from this year i always draw headless riders. i'm afraid i'll mess up on the head. and the eyes on the horse too. i always mess up on those. Posted by Picasa

this is something we did in art class a while ago, and i really loved it, i want to frame it. it's different water color techniques for the "non-artists" that would include me. But this is really cool I like it a lot Posted by Picasa

birthday stuff.

So my birthday was yesterday and I got bunches of stuff at the mall.
Mom and Dad bought me this beautiful dress for my concert in Nov. I can't wait. I got a really cool shimmery shrug top to go over it, but I can't find a link for it online. So oh well. I guess I will try and show you what I got yesterday. At least most of it. Whatever can be found online.
At AE, I got a cool sweatshirt and a cute shirt. I got a really cute hat too.
Then I went into Gap and got some jeans, and a cute shirt. (Can't find the shirt on the website. But it's a cute blue henley.)
I got a bunch of stuff at Old Navy. I got a sweater, some shoes, a really cute striped shirt, a tank top, and something else, but I can't remember what.
Anyways, I must go and do some things. I am a busy girl after all. : D
See ya

surprise?

Well, I had suspicions that mother was planning a surprise party for me, only because she was making taco dip, a cheese ball, fruit pizza, punch, and a gazillion of other items, when it is only the three of us. SO, I decided not to say anything. Until tonight, when a lady in our church called, and said to me; "I suppose I should R.S.V.P. it says here to R.S.V.P." After a long pause, she continued; "Is it a surprise?" To which I responded; "I think it is." She gave a horrified gasp as I told her it was ok. Then I handed the phone to Dad, and Mom asked me to start cleaning the house and to get her the punch bowl. Anyways, it will still be fun. HAH! Mom just asked me if she should make one pizza plain, and then the other loaded, and I said "Well, just make one with pepperoni, and the other loaded, and they can pick it off if they don't want it." (Referring to the birthday geusts.) So mother said, "They?" (At this point she knows that I know.) So I said; "Dad."
I love my parents. They are THE best!!! :>D Even if my fellow co-workers are LOSERS! *just had a horrible day at work, and I actually cried. It was really embarassing. But I lost it*
Anyways, I'm going shopping on monday, hopefully if I don't get called in to work. Monday is the actual day. So I will see you all later! Maybe the next time I publish something I'll be 18!!!

Just got something from these people in the mail last week. : )

A Myth

Stuffed Animals: An innocent childhood playing, or a torterous nightmare from the depths of darkness? In the following pharagraphs, I would like to take a closer look at what many of us hold close at night. As I conducted research I found many interesting meanings for common animals, such as the teddy bear. The translation of this is derived from the greek word: "Zeolaptan", meaning; "Bumbeling Idiot".
Greek children were labeled these different names at a young age, according to their skills. Then a curse was placed on them, demanding that their destiny would be whatever their curse name was. For instance; A horse, (horishpta) would mean stupid, thoughtless, and the child ultimately needed a guide the rest of his/her life, comparing to the bit in the horses mouth. But the worst judgement that was bestowed on anyone, was Capith (Fish).
Meaning: Helpless.
As ancient Greek Lore tells us, An image of the animal the child was named after was placed above their bed, until death, or until sufficient evidence that the person redeemed himself, was shown.
As the generations progressed, the potentcy or the "stuffed animals" lessoned, and it is now a harmless plaything.
In closeing, I ask only that before purchasing one of these "stuffed creatures", you ask yourself a few questions.
1. Why am I buying this?
2. Will this animal be a betterment to my futre, or will it only drag me down?
I encourage you to take a deeper look into the meaning of the one whom you cuddle next to at night.

-From a gazillion years ago. We were asked to write a Myth.

I know I was supposed to put up Sunday Thoughts, but I can't find them. It makes me sad. I worked out tonight with Nate. It felt good. I ran for 19 min! I was so happy. I cooled down for the rest of the 25 min. Then I STREEEEETCHHHHEEEED. Mmmmm. It feels awesome. Anyways, I'm tired. See you later.

My second post on the first day of the month of October

I am going to post some lyrics. They are the most beautiful lyrics I have ever read in my life. The tune is very nice as well. Ever since I heard this song, it has been the most wonderful song, and it really convicts me. I don't like to listen to it sometimes.

Like a man comes to an alter I came into this town
With the world upon my shoulders and promises passed down
And I went into the water and my Father, He was pleased
I built it and I’ll tear it down so you will be set free

But I found thieves and salesmen living in my Father’s house
I know how they got in here and I know how to get ‘em out
I’m turning this place over from floor to balcony
And then just like these doves and sheep you will be set free

I’ve always been a lover from before I drew a breath
Some things I loved easy and some I loved to death
Because love’s no politician, it listens carefully
Of those who come I can’t lose one, so you will be set free

But go on and take my picture, go on and make me up
I’ll still be your defender, you’ll be my missing son
And I’ll send out an army just to bring you back to me
Because regardless of your brother’s lies you will be set free

I am my beloveds and my beloved’s mine
So you bring all your history and I’ll bring the bread and wine
And we’ll have us a party where all the drinks are on me
Then as surely as the rising sun you will be set free

Tomorrow I might decide to post a long due "Sunday Thoughts"
I haven't posted one for awhile. I just haven't felt like it. I have a bunch of stuff. We'll see.
Good Night, and I wish you a edifying Lord's Day tomorrow.

My first post for the month of October.

The title is self-explanitory. I really don't have anything to post about, but it seemed like a good thing to do since it is the first of October. I wish I could say something that would be of interest to the greater people of America. I will write a story.

She took her seat slowly, almost hesitatingly, before her paper. It seemed more out of duty, and not affection, that drove her hand to pick of the pen and begin to write. This was not normal, for on such dismal days as this, she was inclined to feel out of sorts. The pen made a dull scratching noise as she wrote. Mostly about the weather, and the episode last evening with Mr. Lowell. It was nothing that would have peaked interest, though it seemed well enough to write about. She placed the pen down, though she was not finished and smoothed her dress. She was standing now, and walked thoughtfully to the window. It was a fairly large window and gave her a pleasant view of the front lawn. The rain drizzled down steadily. When it rained very hard you knew it would stop soon. But when it rained softly, you will always assume that it will continue in this manner throughout the day. And most times, for several days. This was the latter type of rain. She suddenly rushed out of the room with a brisk step and descended the stairs. She would find the cousins and they would have some fun despite such a depressing day. The letter remained on the table and would not be touched for some time. But perhaps small details, such as a letter sent to home, should not be overlooked so swiftly.

*sigh* I'm off to practice the piano.
