Check out my good friend Angie's blog entitled "Just One Daisy"
I finally got to catch up with her on my trip to Maine a while back.
We shared a dinner and a movie, along with a romantic walk to the breakwater with a gorgeous full moon. One of the biggest moons ever! LOL, we had a blast.
I'm not sure how much she'll be updating her blog since she's off to college, AUGH!

We've had some awesome times together. I'll miss ya tons girl. Have fun at college.

8.17.2005

Well, I had a blast at Fonda this year as usual, it was only Charles and Lauren, but it's such a fun show. You just kind of chill around. Hopefully I will get a picture soon of me and him. I didn't place in my first class, Jackie said I was so nervous I forgot how good I was. I believe it! But the second class I remembered to breathe, and I got third. So I was happy. I was actually more pleased with the three rides I had the week before. They were awesome, awesome rides and it felt so good to be able to tell him to cut it out and have him listen to me! HAHA, it was great!
Anyways, I saw another saddlebred at the show, it was a gorgeous huge one, and it was so muscular. That's what Charles will look like by next year! You'll see! If I actually get down there to ride him. : )
Anyways, I'm doing a concert with Brittany Tissiere sometime in the end of October. I'm hopeing to do it at the Otesaga, but we'll see. She plays the cello. I practiced everything last night, I have four piano solo's. Micha whipped up a program for me so I can take it to the Otesega to ask the President tomorrow. Kelly and Margie are going to take me because Margie knows the president. Then I will have Micah whip up some posters and stuff. The program looks really nice, I love it.
I've got to find a dress that I can wear for the concert. I nice long black one. There's one I want on J. Crew, really bad, but of course it's expensive.
Well, I have like, 10 rolls of film to take to get developed, so once they're back, hopefully I'll be able to post them.
School starts soon, and I'm being very sentimental, Kelly will tell you. : )
It's my last winter at home before I go to college! So crazy.
I'm still praying and keeping my options open, but I am leaning towards Northland. We're going to go visit it.
See ya later

Doubting Thomas

What will be left when I've drawn my last breath
Besides the folks I've met and the folks who've known me
Will I discover a soul-saving love
Or just the dirt above and below me

I'm a doubting Thomas
I took a promise
But I do not feel safe
Oh me of little faith

Sometimes I pray for a slap in the face
Then I beg to be spared cause I'm a coward

If there's a master of death
I bet he's holding his breath
As I show the blind and tell the deaf about his power

I'm a doubting Thomas
I can't keep my promises
Cause I don't know what's safe
Oh me of little faith

Can I be used to help others find truth
When I'm scared I'll find proof that it's a lie
Can I be led down a trail dropping bread crumbs
That prove I'm not ready to die

Please give me time to decipher the signs
Please forgive me for time that I've wasted

I'm a doubting Thomas
I'll take your promise
You've always kept me safe
Oh me of little faith

Sunday Thoughts

Here I am
Believe in Me
Never
In what you see
Eyes decieve
They look to please
So close your eyes
Believe in Me
Here I am
Where are you
I've waited here all morning
For you.
But there was no pleading voice
No eyes that searched Mine eagerly
Waiting for the calmness
Stillness
The utter bliss of our fellowship
Oh what might have been
Here I am
Your weary head lies softly now
Sleep a little longer
Just sleep a little longer
A little longer
While I watch
and wait.

Saddleseat riders here I come. I think.

HAHA, no I'm pretty confident about Saturday. Hopefully a few more rides will get me whipped into shape. I tried on my outfit today. Its a navy pinstripe 3-piece suit, with a pink shirt and red tie. Pretttttty cool. And brand new boots. : )
I got my license and I drove to the barn which is pretty cool. I wanted the barn to be the first place I drove because outside of home, thats the best place to chill.
Jackie let me choose between academy classes and normal saddleseat classes. I chose saddleseat classes. This is the harder choice because academy classes are for beginners and any age, breed and stlye can compete. The saddleseat ring will probablly be a lot fuller, and there will definetly be people with a lot more experience. At least a lot more experience with me. I'm just worried about the canter I geuss. So we'll see how it goes.
It was my choice, it was my choice to ride Charles at Fonda, it was my choice to do SS classes, it was my choice to do walk/trot/canter, so I'm going all the way and I'm doing it. If I make a fool of myself I'll at least know that I tried. I tried to be the best I could be. So aim high. I'm going to have a blast.

and I'm going to bring back many ribbons hopefully. ( not sure which colors )
They will go on my wall and I will take pictures.
